In 2010, I travelled to Cornwall to research into the extensive influence of the mining industry onto the landscape. I visited twelve different mines and collected samples of residue from the porcelain, copper and tin industries. The samples formed the base material for a ceramic paint that can be used to color porcelain.
This Spring I visited Cornwall for the second time. I collected 50 new samples of different industries such as silver, lead, tin and copper. These photographs showing the intense colors of the different places where I did collect the materials.
